Frazier in his early WWE days as Mabel - as part of the Men on a Mission Group

Former WWE star Nelson Frazier Jr, known to WWE fans as Mabel and latterly as Viscera, has passed away aged 43.

Frazier reportedly passed away after having a heart attack. Frazier was a huge part of the WWE in the mid 90's, having made his debut as Mabel in the 3-man group of Men on a Mission.

The group made their WWE debut in the 7th October edition of Superstars in 1993

The group achieved moderate success as a tag team and in 1994 defeated the WWE tag team champions at the time, The Quebecers at WrestleMania X, although the victory was only by count out and the belts did not change hands. They did however capture the gold as Frazier secured his first championship title in the WWE as they defeated the Quebecers at a house show in London, UK,, but lost them just two days later in another house show in Sheffield, UK, as the Quebecers quickly regained their titles.

By 1995 Mabel & his partner Mo betrayed their manager Oscar and embarked in a brief spell as heels before Mabel became a singles wrestler and he was to receive one of his biggest pushes in his career when he won the 1995 King of the Ring tournament, defeating Savio Vega in the final. It was here that King Mabel was born.

A few months later he was challenging Diesel for the WWE title at Summerslam, but was not successful, after which he embarked in a feud with the Undertaker, which culminated in him losing the Undertaker in a casket match at the In Your House: Season's Beatings PPV. King Mabel's last appearance for the time being came in the 1996 Royal Rumble.

Frazier then continued to compete on the Independant circuit for a few years up until 1998, when he then returned to the WWE, albeit briefly, as Mabel challenged recent King of the Ring winner, Ken Shamrock. He was however unsuccessful. At the 1999 Royal Rumble, Mabel was kidnapped by the Undertaker and the Acolytes and the next night on Raw, Viscera was born as he had become a part of the Undertaker's Ministry of Darkness. After the break up of the ministry, he floated around mid-card, before leaving again in 2000.

After another spell on the Independant circuit and a brief appearance in TNA, Frazier made his return to WWE again as Viscera. His persona changed from a scary giant to being nicknamed "The Worlds Largest Love Machine" as he entered angles with Trish Stratus and Lillian Garcia, who he became infatuated with. He began teaming with Val Venis for a short while and they had a few tag team title shots, albeit unsuccessfully.

After an injury to Venis, Frazier continued as a singles wrestler at mostly mid-card level until he was drafted to the ECW brand and repackaged as Big Daddy V.

As Big Daddy V he became a hired muscle for Matt Striker. He soon began to find success again and became the #1 contender for the ECW title as he faced CM Punk. However he was not successful in his challenge. His last match also came against CM Punk on March 11th 2008, as the two fought in a Money in the Bank qualifying match, however Big Daddy V was on the losing end again.

Frazier then returned to the Independant Circuit and also had a brief spell in Japan with All Japan Pro Wrestling.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Nelson Frazier's family and friends and we thank Nelson/Mabel/Viscera/Big Daddy V for the wonderful memories he gave us in the WWE.

Rest in Peace Big Man.

Below is just a small selection of tweets, from those in the WWE that worked closely with Nelson Frazier Jr.
