Battle Royal Blues!

A number of WWE Superstars expressed their disappointment at being eliminated in the US Title battle royal on Raw as Tom Phillips caught up with a handful of unsuccessful stars.

Party Time with Adam Rose!

Adam Rose made his debut on WWE Raw as he interupted Zeb Colter & Jack Swagger! Backstage Renee Young got a piece of the party feel!

20 Man Battle Royal for the United States Championship

Dean Ambrose defends his title against 19 other men who all descend to the ring. Xavier Woods is the first eliminated, subsequent eliminations include Zack Ryder, R Truth, Titus O'Neil & Sin Cara. We get down to a final 5 of Ryback, Curtis Axel, Dean Ambrose, Sheamus & Jack Swagger. Axel is the next to go as he is eliminated by Ambrose, & Ambrose then eliminates Ryback, Ambrose then gets another as Swagger is gone, leaving Ambrose & Sheamus left. But it's not to be a winning effort for the Shield as Sheamus eliminates Ambrose and we have a new champion!!!

Winner and NEW UNITED STATES CHAMPION: Sheamus - 8/10

  • I've got to say that I'm pleased by this title change. Sheamus has been awesome in recent months in whoever he has faced and I just hope and pray that he is booked correctly and they book feuds around the title and make it significant again. Because it's a title with a lot of prestige that's been lost lately. There are plenty of feuds out there for Sheamus with this title, they just need to book them and let Sheamus & his opponents do the rest!

After the match Reigns & Rollins try to console Ambrose, before Triple H makes his way to the stage. Triple H recounts last nights match and says the Shield were lucky, but states their luck is changing and adds that later tonight they will be facing the Wyatt Family in the Main Event.

Before we go to the break we also learn there will be a rematch for the Intercontinental Title between the new champion, Bad News Barrett and the former champ, Big E

We return to see a promo of the debuting Adam Rose before Renee Young is joined by Sheamus backstage who congratulates him on winning the US title. Sheamus says that since injury he has waited patiently and winning the title has been worth the wait.

We then have a quick look back at last nights match between Daniel Bryan & Kane, as we then go backstage and join Daniel Bryan & Brie Bella, they are soon interrupted by Stephanie, who congratulates him but adds all he has done has further anger Kane and advises him to stay in his locker room until his match tonight.

Rob Van Dam vs Cesaro (with Paul Heyman)

Cesaro & RVD enjoy a good match, RVD gets hooked in the corner buckle with his leg, Cesaro continues to beat on him from outside the ring and doesn't break after the 5 count leading to his DQ

Winner via Disqualification: Rob Van Dam - 6/10

Next we are joined by the Wyatt Family in the ring. Bray begins by saying how he was born to lead & that he will change the world. He claims he was always looked upon as a nobody but last night he became a somebody as we then look back at last night's match ending. Bray then speaks about how Cena tries to portray him as a monster and a liar, but adds that all that he does, he does for the children of today & that he will be remembered for what he truly is - a god.

Ryback (with Curtis Axel) vs Cody Rhodes (with Goldust)

Cody looks to get back on the winning streak whilst Ryback looks to continue his momentum, however again Goldust inadvertently costs Cody the match, but Cody doesn't react angrily this time

Winner via pinfall: Ryback - 6/10

Backstage Daniel Bryan is with Brie in the locker room when suddenly the lights go out and both make their way into the corridor where they bump into Stephanie who promises to ease Brie's fears.

We return from the break to join Los Matadores & El Torito in the ring for a Cinco De Mayo celebration. Before long however 3MB interrupt and make their way to the ring. Slater says they have come to call a truce. El Torito offers to call a truce but Hornswoggle isn't having it and attacks him. Clearly this feud isn't over despite what we may wish. Torito & Los Matadores clear the ring and then celebrate.

  • Seriously, I have kinda enjoyed the fun between Hornswoggle & El Torito but that should be put to bed now, by all mean focus the feud on 3MB & Los Matadores but not the comic side of Hornswoggle/El Torito, both teams are better than that.

Kofi Kingston vs Alexander Rusev (with Lana)

Kofi's attempt as using his speed works albeit temporarily but Rusev again proves too strong as he makes Kofi tap out to the Accolade.

Winner via Submission: Alexander Rusev - 5/10

A quick plug for the WWE Network before we head backstage to see Daniel Bryan escort Brie to the car and prepare to leave but as they are about to Stephanie tells them they can't leave until after his match which is next.

Alberto Del Rio vs WWE World Champion Daniel Bryan (with Brie Bella)

A gruelling match between Del Rio and a very tired looking champ as momentum swings both ways, Del Rio however gets a few close calls. Del Rio looks to finish it but Bryan counters and hooks him in the yes lock, leading to Del Rio tapping out

Winner via submission: Daniel Bryan - 7/10

WWE Intercontinental Title Match

Big E vs Bad News Barrett (c)

Big E attempts to win back the title less than 24 hours after losing it and he leaves nothing out there, however equally Barrett is not keen to relinquish it so easy & it's Barrett who gets the win and retains the title after he hit the BullHammer.

Winner via pinfall and STILL INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION: Bad News Barrett - 7/10

After a slightly odd video of Mr. T and his mother day message, we head back to the show as Jack Swagger & Zeb Colter making his way to the ring. Colter announces he has a list of people he wants deporting, a list including Sheamus, Cesaro, Santino, Paige Paul Heyman & Emma. At this point Adam Rose's music hits and he and his party people make their way to the ring. Rose enters the ring and tells Colter to not be a lemon but be a Rose bud! Colter instructs Swagger to take him out, which he fails, Rose then celebrates with his party people in the ring.

  • This is just a personal thing, but I'm not the tiniest bit excited about Adam Rose. I wasn't on NXT. His character is much like Brodus Clay - it'll get boring very soon. I'm already bored of it and I really don't want to be negative about it and his in-ring ability is good but I just cannot feel excited by his arrival. I hope I'm wrong! But hey!

The Wyatt Family vs The Shield

The match begins with an all out brawl, until Ambrose & Rowan officially start the match. All 6 men give a good account during the match as each member has their moment of dominating. Towards the latter part of the match Reigns is tagged in and he dominates all 3 members of the Wyatt Family, all 6 men then go at it, Rollins & Ambrose take out Rowan & Harper and all 3 Shield members look to hit Wyatt with a triple-powerbomb, at which point Evolution enter but they get taken out by Rollins & Ambrose, back in the ring Wyatt catches a distracted Reigns with the Sister Abigail to get the win.

Winners via pinfall: The Wyatt Family - 7/10

  • After the match Evolution begin to attack the Shield in revenge of last nights loss. Evolution then celebrate as the show goes off air.

Overall comments: A worthy edition of Raw off the back of Extreme Rules. I was delighted that the US title changed hands & as stated, happy for Sheamus as he deserves it. The Daniel Bryan/Kane saga was ok, predictable but ok, although I don't see much mileage in this feud past Payback. Bray Wyatt's promo was awesome and genuinely there is no one better on the mic right now. Nice to see the IC title take importance with a rematch - Barrett is a great champion. Let's hope & pray he stays injury free for a very long time. The main event was ok, not their best of matches but still good and I'm glad to see the feud between the Shield and Evolution is continuing. Thought Adam Rose's debut wasn't exactly well managed and they could have done better. The one major downside for me was the lack of the tag team champions AGAIN and a lack of a tag team division that quite honestly was thriving just 2 months ago! Come on people sort it out! So much work went into building up that division, don't just check it away! Other than that it was a good show!

Overall Show Rating: 7/10

Kick Off Show

WeeLC Match

Hornswoggle (with 3MB) vs El Torito (with Los Matadores)

An enjoyable match to be fair between the two which is quite suitable for the pre-show to get the crowd going! El Torito got the win having put Hornswoggle through a table.

Winner via pinfall: El Torito - 6/10

Main Show

Triple Threat Elimination Match

Rob Van Dam vs Jack Swagger (with Zeb Colter) vs Cesaro (with Paul Heyman)

A good opening bout to the show, Swagger was the first eliminated as Cesaro super-plexed Swagger into the ring, after which RVD hit the 5-star frog splash to get the 3-count - Swagger eliminated. RVD enjoys momentum after this and gets a few close falls, a trash can then gets involved but an attempted frog splash is countered as Cesaro delivers the neutraliser to RVD into the trash can and gets the 3-count.

Winner via pinfall: Cesaro - 7/10

Backstage Daniel Bryan is getting checked over by the physio before Stephanie appears and tells Bryan she is concerned for his safety for him and his family. Stephanie then suggests that to save him from punishment he could surrender the title and not compete. Bryan tells her to get lost and he promises to leave tonight with the title.

Lana is then introduced as she informs us that tonight's match is dedicated to her idol, Russian president Vladimir Putin and then in turn introduces Alexander Rusev.

2 on 1 Handicap Match

Alexander Rusev vs R Truth & Xavier Woods

Woods is taken out outside before the match officially begins, Rusev then begins to work on R Truth in the ring. Truth turns it around though using his experience as Woods is still out on the ringside floor. Rusev proves to much of a match though as Rusev makes Truth tap out to the Accolade.

Winner via submission: Alexander Rusev - 6/10

Lillian Garcia then speaks to the crowd about the USA Special Olympics held in New Jersey next month and introduces some of the New Jersey team.

Renee Young is then backstage with Evolution. Triple H reminds us that between them they have 31 world titles between them. Orton then promises that the Shield will perish tonight.

WWE Intercontinental Championship Match

Bad News Barrett vs Big E (c)

The match gets underway and it's clear the crowd are very pro Barrett as they cheer almost his every move. Big E gets close to victory but Barrett counters and hits the bull-hammer and gets the 3-count and we have a new champion!!

Winner via pinfall and NEW INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION: Bad News Barrett - 7/10

Evolution vs The Shield

After a fight breaks out from the off, Rollins & Triple H officially start the match off. The match is really well worked a full of excitement, momentum swinging both ways, the Shield hit the triple powerbomb on Batista but that's intercepted, Evolution look to gain control but Rollins saves his team from defeat. At this point Triple H/Orton/Rollins/Ambrose are fighting their way through the crowd as Reigns & Batista are the legal men. Back out in the crowd the Triple H & Orton are beating on Ambrose when out of nowhere Rollins comes flying through the air from the crowd above! Back in the ring Reigns & Batista resume the action and whilst Batista almost gets the fall, Reigns hits the spear and gets the win.

Winners via pinfall: The Shield - 9/10

Steel Cage Match

John Cena vs Bray Wyatt (with Luke Harper & Erick Rowan)

The crowd make their feelings known from the off as they are very pro-Wyatt. The match gets underway with Bray enjoying the early exchange. As the match goes on Cena tries a few escape attempts but Harper & Rowan help see that he doesn't, including forcing the door shut as well as making sure Cena can't escape over the top, another Cena escape attempt is foiled and Harper is dragged into the cage by Cena when attempting to interfere. All men become involved and are laid out as Cena goes to exit via door before the lights dim and when they return we see a small boy singing to Cena in a distorted voice, this distracts Cena and allow Wyatt to hit the Sister Abigail and escape the ring to get the win.

Winner via escaping the cage: Bray Wyatt - 8/10

We then head to join Josh Matthews on the WWE Network expert panel and the panel tonight is Booker T, Sheamus & Alex Riley. All 3 have been stunned by what's just happened and then highlight The Shield/Evolution match.

WWE Divas Championship Match

Tamina vs Paige (c)

Gotta feel sorry for Paige & Tamina, placed in an awkward position on the card again, but after a shaky start they have a good effort, Paige eventually turning things around and getting Tamina to tap out for the win.

Winner via Submission and STILL DIVAS CHAMPION: Paige - 6/10

Backstage the Wyatt Family is with little "Johnny" who helped Bray gain victory, who seemingly is hooked by the Wyatt Family as he declares that everyone will follow the buzzards.

Extreme Rules match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship

Daniel Bryan (c) vs Kane

The match starts off on the entrance as a physical battles follows both in and out of the ring, the fight eventually makes it's way backstage, where Bryan knocks Kane out with a steel bar, but he needs to get Kane back in the ring to get the pinfall, so uses a near-by forklift to do so! Eventually the action returns to the ring & Bryan gets a very close 2.5 count. The match continues to swing back & forth, Bryan attempts a flying attack to outside the ring but he got caught and Kane then proceeds to chokeslam Bryan through the announcers table. Kane then finds a table from under the ring and proceeds to set fire to it, he then attempts to put Bryan through it but Bryan counters and he then puts Kane through the table, Kane is then sprayed with a fire extinguisher by a ringside attendant, as he climbs into the ring and then gets hit by the running knee from Bryan who then covers him for the win.

Winner via pinfall and STILL WWE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: Daniel Bryan - 8/10

Overall comments: This was a very solid PPV with some great matches. It was a no fuss, no nonsense PPV that let the matches do the talking and it worked so well. I wasn't surprised to see Barrett win the IC title and I just hope and prey that they use him and the title properly and book feuds around the belt and not the usual thing they do of making top level stars look good by beating the IC champion etc. As predicted the Shield/Evolution match was superb and there's plenty of mileage in this feud. A better match than I expected I must say and I was expecting a great one. So pleased Bray got the win, I honestly thought at some point that Cena was going to win but the ending was superb and in fitting with recent events. The main event was a well worked match but you sensed the crowd wasn't so excited about it, however the ending brought life back to the match and predictably Bryan left as Champion, however surprisingly for me there was no interference. A good PPV nonetheless and some brilliant matches on offer.

Match of the Night: Easy one for this PPV as genuinely the Shield vs Evolution stole the show.

Overall Show Rating: 8/10

Welcome to Smackdown! This week from Kansas City, Missouri.

Remember to click the blue links to view match highlights courtesy of the WWE's YouTube channel!

The show begins with a video clip of the recent events between The Shield & Evolution.

We go to the show live and we kick off the show tonight with a 6 man tag match!

The Wyatt Family vs The WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos & Sheamus

A very good opening bout to this weeks Smackdown, after the match came about from events on this weeks edition of Main Event, Bray got the victory for his team however as he hit the Sister Abigail on Jimmy for the 3-count

Winners via pinfall: The Wyatt Family - 7/10

Up next we join Vicki Guerrero in the ring along with Los Matadaores, El Torito & 3MB & Hornswoggle for the contract signing for the "WeeLC" match at Extreme Rules which will appear on the pre-show. The contract is eventually signed before a fight breaks out!

Rob Van Dam vs Jack Swagger (with Zeb Colter)

Before the match starts Cesaro & Paul Heyman make their way to ringside as Heyman joins the commentary team. The match is fairly short lived, after a brief altercation outside, RVD hits the 5-star frogsplash on Swagger for the win, afterwards Cesaro attacks RVD from behind & delivers the neutraliser.

Winner via pinfall: Rob Van Dam - 5/10

R Truth (with Xavier Woods) vs Alexander Rusev (with Lana)

R Truth again tackles Rusev ahead of the Hanidcap match on Sunday, however Rusev wins by DQ when Woods comes in and attacks Rusev, however Woods & R Truth dispose of Rusev to the outside of the ring.

Winner via Disqualification: Alexander Rusev - 5/10

We return from the break as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan makes his way to the ring. Bryan begins by stating that people are the same, in which they stand up for what they believe in & take care of their families & loved ones. Bryan promises to leave Extreme Rules as the champ & declares that Sunday is more than a match & promises to send Kane straight to hell. Kane then appears on the big screen & says that it is no bad thing and a video then airs to highlight the recent events between the two. Kane then informs Bryan that what happened Monday was just a start of what's to come.

Dolph Ziggler vs Damien Sandow

Sandow appears dressed as Magneto once again, however a change of costume makes no difference as Ziggler hits the Zig-Zag for the win.

Winner via pinfall: Dolph Ziggler - 5/10

  • What a sad state of affairs that two great superstars are reduced to this. I really worry where things are going to go for both Sandow & Ziggler. They have the in-ring ability but need an angle or something.

WWE Intercontinental Champion Big E vs Titus O'Neil

Titus again shows his new aggressive streak as he dominates Big E for a good part of the match, before he then gets disqualified for not releasing an attack on the ring apron, after the match Big E then attacks Titus as the fight breaks outside the ring and then back in as Big E stands tall over a beaten Titus O'Neil

Winner via Disqualification: Big E - 5/10

We then see the Wyatt Family backstage as Bray talks about his match with John Cena at Extreme Rules

Fatal 4-Way match for the United States Championship Match

Dean Ambrose (c) vs Alberto Del Rio vs Ryback vs Curtis Axel

A good main event match in which Del Rio, Axel & Ryback all had close falls but Ambrose rolled Axel up for the win to retain his Us title.

Winner via pinfall & still US Champion: Dean Ambrose - 7/10

Overall comments: A much better edition of Smackdown this week, seemed a lot more planned rather than the thrown together feel in recent weeks. Some good matches on the show as well and it built well to Extreme Rules. I genuinely felt at one stage we would see a new US Champion but alas it was not to be. After their match tonight, I wouldn't be surprised to see Titus have some sort of involvement in the Intercontinental title match on Sunday, maybe costing Big E the title? As already mentioned, it's sad to see the situation with Sandow & Ziggler. There can be so much more use for people, especially if they use them as tag teams, as the tag division depth is getting a bit weaker. As shown in the past, Tag Team feuds can be built without it having to involve the tag champions. Would make the competition for the tag titles much more interesting. Anyway a good show that did it's job well in building into Extreme Rules.

Overall Show Rating: 7/10

Welcome to this weeks edition of NXT. Remember to click on the blue links to view match highlights courtesy of the WWE's YouTube Channel.

Tyson Kidd vs Bo Dallas

A great opening contest this week on NXT. Tyson Kidd showing some good moves, likewise from Bo. However it's a huge win for Tyson as he hits the blockbuster and gets the pinfall.

Winner via pinfall: Tyson Kidd - 7/10

  • This is a massive win for Tyson Kidd. I rate him very highly & I hope this leads to a little push for him. You'd like to think he could maybe do a job at mid-card level with perhaps the US title, either that or find him a regular tag team partner and have him re-established that way.

NXT Women's Championship Tournament Round 1

Bayley vs Sasha Banks (with Charlotte)

The tournament to find a new NXT Women's Champion gets underway and a decent match follows, but it's Sasha who will advance as she gains the pinfall victory.

Winner via submission: Sasha Banks - 6/10

Adam Rose vs Danny Burch

Rose picks up a comfortable victory over Burch, in what would turn out to be Burch's last match in the WWE/NXT

Winner via pinfall: Adam Rose - 5/10

  • After the match Camacho takes out some of Rose's party people.

NXT Women's Championship Tournament Round 1

Natalya vs Layla

Two former Divas champions go at it and it's Natalya who is victorious and will go on for face Sasha Banks in the semi finals.

Winner via submission: Natalya - 5/10

Oliver Grey vs Mojo Rawley

Oliver Grey's last match in NXT is a short lived one as Rawley ends it in minutes.

Winner via pinfall: Mojo Rawley - 5/10

  • After the match as Rawley celebrates, Aiden English interupts and tells Rawley to leave the ring and let him show them a real performer. English then attacks Rawley but Rawley fights back and dumps English outside the ring.

No Disqualification match for the NXT Heavyweight Championship

Brodus Clay vs Adrian Neville (c)

A rematch from two weeks ago but this time with the title on the line, Brodus looked like he was heading for the win, but Neville turned it around and successfully defended his title.

Winner via pinfall and still NXT Champion: Adrian Neville - 7/10

Remember you can follow me or send me comments on my Twitter or Facebook page.

Welcome to this weeks edition of Main Event. Remember to click the blue links to view match highlights courtesy of the WWE's YouTube channel!

Goldust (with Cody Rhodes) vs Alberto Del Rio

After Cody tried unsuccessfully to beat Del Rio on Raw this week, tonight was the turn of Goldust. A decent match followed and to further add salt in the wounds of Cody, Goldust got the pinfall to take the win.

Winner via pinfall: Goldust - 6/10

  • After the match Renee Young joined both Cody & Goldust in the ring and asked if Cody was proud of Goldusts victory, at first Cody took it as a dig but then apologised and said he hadn't been himself and then him and Goldust seemingly patched things up.

WWE Divas Champion Paige vs Alicia Fox

An edition of Main Event wouldn't be the same without a decent Divas match and this week was no exception! Alicia Fox again gave a good account against the champ but Paige hit an awesome modified DDT to secure the win.

Winner via pinfall: Paige - 6/10

  • After the match Tamina Snuka appeared on the stage and she and Paige had a brief state down, before Tamina just smiled and laughed to herself.

Kofi Kingston vs Bad News Barrett

The new #1 contender for the Intercontinental title was in action against Kofi, the match itself short lived, as Barrett hit the BullHammer for the win.

Winner via pinfall: Bad News Barrett - 5/10

Sheamus vs Bray Wyatt (with Luke Harper & Erick Rowan)

What an awesome match! When it was announced on Raw that this was taking place I knew it would be awesome, Sheamus never fails to have a bad match lately, he deserves huge credit and is very underrated in my book. Momentum swung both ways but eventually the numbers game played a part as Sheamus got distracted allowing Bray to hit the Sister Abigail for the win.

Winner via pinfall: Bray Wyatt - 8/10

  • After the match the Wyatt Family began to beat on Sheamus until the Usos come down and made the save.

Welcome to Monday Night Raw! Live from St Louis, Missouri.

Remember to click the blue links to view match highlights courtesy of the WWE's YouTube channel!

Raw begins with a re-cap of last weeks events between John Cena & the Wyatt Family.

We go to the show live as we see the steel cage surrounding the ring, John Cena's music hits as he slowly makes his way to the ring and enter the cage. At this happens Michael Cole reminds us that Rybaxel will challenge the Usos for the tag team titles whilst Stephanie McMahon will apologise to Daniel Bryan whilst Roman Reigns will face Randy Orton. By now Cena is in the ring and grabs the mic and is loudly booed and jeered by the crowd. Cena questions the WWE universe for choosing to put him in a handicap last week, drawing some serious heat from the crowd whilst doing so. Cena talks about when eventually time comes for him to step aside and let the new generation dominate and lists a number of potential superstars and adds they all have the same passion as he did and does, he adds that Bray Wyatt's priority is Bray Wyatt. Cena then gets interupted by the Wyatt Family, with a choir of youngsters singing a rendition of the whole world in his hands. (Very creepy but superbly done) we then go to a break.

When we return from the break, The Wyatt Family are sat at ringside with the entire choir in Erick Rowan sheep masks circling the ring. Bray just sits there and laughs at Cena before we head to another break.

WWE Tag Team Championship Match

The Usos (c) vs Rybaxel

Jimmy & Curtis Axel start things off in this championship match. The Usos perform a flying attack out of the ring but Jey injures himself and temporarily Jimmy has to go it alone whilst Jey is being attended to at ringside. Jey eventually makes it back to the ring apron. Rybaxel get a few close falls but the Usos make a sneaky tag and whilst Axel goes for the perfect-plex, but Jimmy hits a big splash from the top on Axel as he gets the 3 count

Winners via pinfall and still Tag Team Champions: The Usos - 7/10

We join Paul Heyman & Cesaro backstage in the locker room. Heyman tells Cesaro is disappointed in Rob Van Dam in what he said but Heyman states whilst he is a liar and a cheat, he always takes his clients to the top, Cesaro responds by saying that is all he wants to hear.

Sheamus vs Titus O'Neil

Before Sheamus has even made his way to the ring he is attacked by Titus and he continues to beat on Sheamus, as it eventually makes it's way into the ring and the match officially starts. Titus beats on Sheamus more but then gets caught by a perfectly executed brogue kick as Sheamus gets the win.

Winner via pinfall: Sheamus - 5/10

  • I'm loving the new aggressive side of Titus O'Neil, we saw it on Superstars and much more of it tonight, a program with Sheamus is mouth-watering & could be perfect for both!

Dolph Ziggler is in the ring and states how he loves summer, especially as the Superheros return to the big screen and plugs the new X-Men movie - a trailer for the movie then airs. Dolph then introduces Hugh Jackman back to Raw. Jackman says how he loves being on Raw, Ziggler then reminds us what happened in 2011 when Jackman was last on Raw. They agree to put it behind them, just as Damien Sandow enters - dressed as Magneto! Sandow informs both Jackman & Ziggler will both receive the same fate. Sandow then informs both that he will display his magnetic powers... Which Jackman jokingly goes along with before hip tossing Sandow before Ziggler hits the Zig-Zag as Jackman & Ziggler celebrate.

  • My word what a fall from grace Damien Sandow has had, the segment was kinda funny in it's own way but so sad to think Damien Sandow was the butt of the jokes.

A short video airs to show the on-going feud between the Shield & Evolution!

Jack Swagger (with Zeb Colter) vs Cesaro (with Paul Heyman)

The feud continues between the two former partners. Colter attempts to distract Cesaro but Heyman grabs hold of Colter, Swagger gets distracted by that and Cesaro hits him with a belly to back suplex for the pin.

Winner via pinfall: Cesaro - 6/10

Backstage Renee Young catches up with John Cena and asks him for his reaction about what happened tonight, Cena says nothing then walks off.

Alberto Del Rio vs Cody Rhodes (with Goldust)

Cody looks to put his recent bad patch behind him, but it's all to no avail as Cody ends up tapping out to give Del Rio the victory and after the match again blames & shoves his brother Goldust

Winner via submission: Alberto Del Rio - 6/10

Backstage Paul Heyman is seen talking to Cesaro but we are unable to hear what's being said

Lana is then introduced in preparation for the next match involving Alexander Rusev

Alexander Rusev (with Lana) vs Xavier Woods (with R Truth)

Woods attempts to make amends for a few weeks back but to no avail, Rusev is about to put Woods in the accolade but R Truth intercepts and attacks Rusev and they dispose of him from the ring.

Winner via DQ: Alexander Rusev - 3/10

We now join Renee Young backstage who is with Rob Van Dam. Renee asks RVD about his match with Bad News Barrett tonight in the IC title #1 tournament finals. RVD says he is a former 6 time champion and 7 is his lucky number, Zeb Colter then appears and tells RVD that as they have a common enemy in Paul Heyman, that they should join forces, however RVD politely refuses.

Zeb Colter & Jack Swagger are seen backstage talking/arguing.

Los Matadores (with El Torito) vs Drew McIntyre & Heath Slater of 3MB (with Jinder Mahal & Hornswoggle)

After a few minutes into the match Hornswoggle & El Torito become involved at ringside, which distracts Diego, allowing Heath Slater to get the pinfall and win for 3MB!

Winners via pinfall: Heath Slater & Drew McIntyre - 5/10

Stephanie McMahon makes her way to ring as she apparently is there to apologise to Daniel Bryan for what happened last week. Stephanie begins by say how upset she was with what happened last week and invites Daniel Bryan out, which he duly does, sporting a neckbrace, alongside his wife, Brie Bella. They remain on the stage however & Bryan tells Stephanie that he almost believed her last week when she apparently wanted Kane to stop. Stephanie says that she admits she didn't want him to be the champion and that her emotions run a little too high. Stephanie then sympathises with Brie and says she knows first hand how horrible it is to go with your husband in an ambulance and spend the night with them in hospital. Stephanie reiterates how sorry she is but Bryan isn't buying it. Daniel Bryan promises to never give up and promises to beat Kane Sunday, or bring down Kane with him. Stephanie suggests to make amends, she is giving Brie a chance to fight Paige for the Divas Championship tonight.

WWE Divas Championship Match

Brie Bella vs Paige (c)

Both Divas give a good account, but the match is suddenly interupted as Kane's music hits, Bryan waits for him to appear but he appears through the ring mat and attempts to grab Brie, Bryan makes the save but gets a choke slam for his troubles, Kane attempts to grab her again but she fights her way off and helps escort Bryan to the back as Kane stands in the ring laughing as he watches on.

Winner via DQ: Brie Bella - 5/10

After the break we see Daniel Bryan with Brie in the trainers room with the doctor, Stephanie appears, appearing all concerned and is apologetic. Brie tells Stephanie under no uncertain terms to get out.

Renee Young again catches up with John Cena, she again asks him for his thoughts. Cena apologises for earlier and adds that he got caught up in Bray's mind games and earlier felt the WWE Universe had turned their back on him, but he now believes they haven't. Cena then promises to finish Bray Wyatt on Sunday at Extreme Rules.

Bad News Barrett then appears ahead of his match with Rob Van Dam, but first he has some bad news for RVD, as he promises to beat RVD tonight.

Intercontinental Title #1 Contenders Tournament Final

Bad News Barrett vs Rob Van Dam

A good match between the two, Barrett gets a couple of near falls, but as RVD was gaining the advantage, Cesaro came to ringside and distracted RVD, Swagger made the save, but RVD got the upper hand again and went for the 5 star frog splash, but Cesaro distracted RVD again, Barrett countered it, hit RVD with the bull hammer for the win to win the tournament and go on to face Big E for the IC title on Sunday at Extreme Rules.

Winner via pinfall: Bad News Barrett - 7/10

  • After the match Cesaro attacked RVD, before Swagger got involved attacking both men, but it was RVD who came out on top of their little battle.

Randy Orton (with Batista & Triple H) vs Roman Reigns (with Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose

Before the match starts, Former Evolution member Ric Flair makes his way to ringside. Flair hugs all of Evolution then grabs the mic and says it's great to be in the ring with greatness, he adds he is among superstars that personify power & greatness but eludes to the Shield rather than Evolution and shakes the hands of Evolution before leaving. The match then begins. Before long a fight breaks out between Evolution & Shield members outside the ring, at which point Roman Reigns gets involved and the match ends. Evolution then begin to beat on the Shield at ringside. The fight escalates into the ring and the Shield turn it around as they clean house with Evolution, celebrating in the ring as the show comes to a close.

No Contest - 6/10

Overall comments: A decent edition of Raw as we head into Extreme Rules. The opening promo of the Wyatt Family was awesome, it was very creepy and eerie and defiantly gives Bray even more momentum heading into this match. I am loving Rybaxel as a tag team and think they have a massive future and am glad they got a title shot but also glad the Usos retained - I hope they build a long feud between these 4 men for the tag belts. Whilst it was slightly funny, it was a shame to see Ziggler & Sandow involved in a promo like that. They really need to find something for these guys (I'm looking at you Zeb Colter!) I think the potential feud between Sheamus & Titus O'Neil could be a good one, they built a good match on Main Event recently and Sheamus almost always carries a good match & I've been impressed with Titus lately. Delighted Barrett won the tournament, I'm certain he will defeat Big E, Barrett really is a top star and has potential to be a massive heel if booked correctly. Liked the ending with the Shield/Evolution and they built that well into Sunday. All in all a good show that didn't disappoint much at all.

Overall Show Rating: 7/10

The Intercontinental Champion is again involved in the opening match as Big E makes his way to the ring.

WWE Intercontinental Champion Big E vs Damien Sandow

Big E starts the match strongly but Sandow worked his way back into it as he attempts to re-establish himself on the roster. However the champ turns it around and hits the big ending for the victory.

Winner via pinfall: Big E - 6/10

  • After the match Big E joins Jerry Lawler on the stage as Lawler congratulates him on his win tonight then asks him about the Intercontinental title tournament and which one he would rather face. Big E responds by saying he doesn't care who it is, he just simply wants the best as he promises to leave Extreme Rules with the belt still around his waist.

Kofi Kingston vs Titus O'Neil

A rematch between the two from a few weeks back and Titus looks far more aggressive and impressive lately. Kofi used his speed however to get back into the match and has a near fall, Titus looks to reassert himself but gets caught by the trouble in paradise and gets the win.

Winner via pinfall: Kofi Kingston - 6/10
